With over 25 years of experience in finance and commercial leadership, Kerry specialises in SME and private equity-backed businesses, mergers and acquisitions, carve-outs, refinancing and group financial reporting.
About Kerry
Kerry began her career in chartered accountancy (ACA) before moving into industry, where she took on major commercial projects, including the 3G roll-out at Hutchison Whampoa, and later managed Emerging Markets at Expedia during its EMEA launch. That early exposure to large-scale corporations gave her a grounding in how complex organisations plan, invest and execute.
From there, Kerry moved into the SME world, first at Firebox, where she ran commercial and operational finance, and then across a range of owner-managed and private equity-backed businesses. She has led finance teams through acquisition, disposal, carve-out and refinancing, from preparing businesses for investment and supporting due diligence to separating operations into standalone entities and restructuring debt facilities. Working at the sharp end of these transactions has given her a practical understanding of what investors, lenders and management teams need from finance, and how to deliver it under pressure.
“Good numbers start with sound data and a deep understanding of the mechanics that drive & underpin a business. Tell their story simply and clearly, and teams decide with confidence and grow with purpose.”
Today, as Group CFO, Kerry leads finance across the Fusion Consulting Group. A commercial finance leader at heart, she looks past the reported numbers to the drivers behind them and turns that insight into decisions the business can act on.
Kerry has a genuine love of data and modelling, and it shapes how she works. She plays a central role in the Group’s acquisition strategy, building the deal models behind prospective acquisition and measuring how acquired practices integrate and cross-sell across the Group.
A people person at heart, Kerry never loses sight of the team behind the numbers, from the colleagues who deliver the work to the clients who rely on it. She builds strong relationships across the business and brings people with her as it grows.
Working closely with partners and leadership across every service line, Kerry makes sure the Group’s growth is backed by sound numbers, strong controls and commercially focused insight. For Kerry, the numbers tell the story of a business: where it has come from, what is driving it today and most importantly, the opportunities waiting to be unlocked.
